Middletown POCD- Local efforts are underway to update the City of Middletown's Plan of Conservation & Development (POCD), which will serve as a guide for future growth and development in Middletown. The POCD will be based on the community's vision to set the goals, values, and strategies that will serve as the framework for future decision-making. Residents, community members, stakeholders, businesses, organizations, and visitors are encouraged to participate and share their opinions on this initiative.
 
Mark S. DeVoe, AICP, City Planner for the City of Middletown, and John P. Guszkowski, AICP, LEED-AP, ENV-SP Lead Planner – Community Development Group CME Associates Inc., will be on hand to discuss the process of updating the city’s POCD. They will also introduce a survey that is available to business owners that will help inform the plan.
 
Representatives from the Connecticut Department of Transportation will update the Bump-Out project on Main Street in Middletown.
 
There will be an update on the Bring Your Own Bag Ordinance and if there are any questions, they will be addressed.
 
To allow time for representatives to give updates on the upcoming events and on-going projects, short City updates will be given by:
