As we continue to put plans together to commemorate our 250th birthday, we are thrilled to announce a partnership with the Griswold Inn, Essex and  illustrious Ivoryton Playhouse, a professional theatre located just 2-miles down the road in neighboring Ivoryton village. Named The First Lady of Connecticut Theatre, it has been offering quality productions and entertainment for over a century. In fact, the Playhouse will be celebrating its 115th birthday in May!

While the full season offers six exciting productions beginning at the close of March, we are particularly excited to highlight a Stay & Play package featuring one of our favorite musical productions, 1776. This story brings to life the spirit and passion of a very important year in the Griswold Inn's history! 

The Stay and Play Package includes:

•  Two Theatre Tickets - preferred seating /best available at time of reservation

•  An Overnight Stay at the Griswold Inn, in one of our charming Standard Rooms

•  Continental Breakfast for Two

•  Commemorative Keepsake

Weekday Overnight Stays: $350 ~ Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays
Theatre is dark on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Friday & Saturday Stays: $385

*Room upgrades available for an additional charge. Tax not included.

• Saturdays 2:00 pm & 7:30 pm

PLEASE NOTE: There will be no matinée performance on Saturday, June 27th and no performances on July 4th.
