Middletown Works is a workforce and family support initiative launched through the Working Cities Challenge to address economic instability among single-parent families. Rooted in community partnership and parent leadership, we connect families to the resources, opportunities, and networks they need to thrive.?

Economic stability comes from supporting parents directly and centering them in solutions—not expecting families to navigate complex systems alone.

We primarily serve:

Single parents of color

ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) families

Parents facing barriers related to employment, housing, childcare, and financial stability



Our work prioritizes families most impacted by systemic inequities in Middletown and the surrounding region.
